Our Mission
The mission of C.H.E.S.S. Inc. is to promote the learning and playing of chess as an integral part of elementary and secondary school education curriculum and in the process to enhance cognitive abilities, develop critical thinking skills, and improve decision making in all students.
To accomplish its mission C.H.E.S.S. Inc. seeks to:
- Educate and train school professionals on how to implement chess into teaching and learning;
- Promote chess to children through seminars and classes in schools and other community organizations;
- Promote chess through the running of local, regional and national level tournaments;
- Provide chess sets, books and other chess equipment to schools, libraries and other appropriate educational and community institutions.
